Experience Placement on the Salary Schedule Side Letter
In an attempt to help recruit veteran teachers in anticipation of the teacher shortage, EGEA and EGUSD signed a side letter regarding experience placement on the salary schedule. Previously, only 10 years of experience credit were given and new hires could only start on step 11. Under the new agreement, up to 15 years of experience credit may be given upon entrance to the District, allowing people to start on step 16. The signed letter will be incorporated into our next Tentative Agreement which will be voted upon by the members. Click HERE to read the agreement.
